Frequently Asked Questions
Everything our Southwest Florida neighbors ask us most — pest control, lawn care, memberships, and more.
What pests are worst in Venice?
It shifts by neighborhood. Venice Island has heavy drywood termite pressure from the old coastal wood-frame stock, plus constant mosquito and no-see-um activity off the Intracoastal. South Venice and Venice Gardens fight subterranean termites in the 1960s–70s homes and roof rats through the mature canopy. Jacaranda West and The Plantation see ghost ants, fire ants, and steady rodent pressure. Wellen Park and the North Venice new builds battle chinch bugs, sod webworm, and fire ants on fresh sod.
How fast can you get to my Venice home?
Our Venice routes run daily from Venice Island and the Jetty up through Venice Gardens, South Venice, Jacaranda, and out to Wellen Park. Call before noon and same-day service is usually available. You reach our team directly at (941) 241-1388 — not a national dispatcher three states away. After hours, a real person picks up the 24-hour line.
Do you service Venice Island and Casey Key rental properties?
Yes — we treat vacation rentals across Venice Island, Casey Key, Nokomis Beach, and the Manasota Key side. These properties have unique pressure from salt air, constant tenant turnover, and food that doesn't always get stored well. We build a treatment cadence around the rental calendar so units get hit between guests, plus drywood termite monitoring for the older coastal stock that's most at risk.
What does quarterly pest control cost in Venice?
Pricing depends on square footage, the pests you're fighting, and how much exterior coverage the property needs. Quarterly plans for a typical Venice single-family home land in a predictable range we can quote in about 60 seconds. Bundling pest with lawn, mosquito, or termite through the WaveGuard tiers drops the price further — Silver saves 10%, Gold 15%, Platinum 20%.
Do I need to be home during the treatment, and is it safe for pets and kids?
We ask you be home for the initial visit so we can walk the property and build the plan. Quarterly visits after that don't require anyone home — we treat the exterior and leave a service hangtag. Interior products are typically dry in about 15 minutes. We always flag anything pet- or kid-relevant before applying it.
Drywood vs subterranean termites in Venice — how do I know which I have?
Both are active across Venice. Drywood termites live inside the wood itself and leave behind pellet-like frass below infested boards — extremely common on Venice Island, Casey Key, and the older coastal stock. Subterranean termites tunnel from the soil up, so you'll see mud tubes on the foundation, slab, or piers — common in Venice Gardens, South Venice, and 1960s–70s homes across the mainland. A free inspection tells you which you're dealing with.
Can I get on the schedule the same day?
Most of the time, yes. Our Venice techs are on the road every weekday, and we hold capacity in the route for same-day calls. Before noon is ideal. For after-hours emergencies — wasps, stinging insects, a sudden rodent problem — the 24-hour line reaches a real person who can get you on the schedule.
What happens if pests come back between my quarterly treatments?
We come back, free. Every WaveGuard plan includes unlimited free re-treats between scheduled visits — no questions, no forms, no added charge. If you're still not satisfied after a re-treat, the money-back guarantee kicks in with no contract lock-in and no waiting period. It's the whole reason we don't put customers on 12-month contracts.
